“I went to a dinner party at a friend’s home last weekend, and met her five-year-old daughter for the first time.
Little Maya was all curly brown hair, doe-like dark eyes, and adorable in her shiny pink nightgown. I wanted to squeal, “Maya, you’re so cute! Look at you! Turn around and model that pretty ruffled gown, you gorgeous thing!”

Just because you say “it will look good on your resume” does not mean I’ll do it for free, especially if it have nothing to do with what I am studying. Art School does not mean I am good at everything art related…Although I am.
This lady assumes I am not doing anything (blatantly says its “something to do during the summer”) and asks me to design the set for the high school play. I am flattered but the way she approached it was just rude. Like she was doing me a huge favor by giving me work….Hun I am busy.
